Automaker Bailout Vote Could Come Today
November 19, 2008
The latest taxpayer bailout of selected private companies with political influence could be the automakers. A vote is scheduled for today. Some Congressmen and Senators are speaking out against it, but the question is whether or not they have the willpower to stand up to the lobbyists. We saw the recent failure of Congress to serve the public with the $700 billion bailout of the financial industry. It seems bailouts may be limited to the money Congress can spend, not on any principles. Ron Paul was on Headline News speaking about this issue yesterday.
