Michael Steele Elected Chairman, Republican National Committee

Michael Steel was elected today, to Chairman of the Republican National Committee.  He is the first black to ever be elected chairman of the GOP.  Personally, it is a great relief to me that the Party elected a new man to the post.  The last chairman, Duncan, was appointed by George W. Bush, and I believe that new leadership is necessary to show that the Republican Party is learning its lessons, and will truly represent conservative principles.

Steele is the former lieutenant governor of Maryland.  He was elected on the sixth ballot, besting four other contenders for the position.  The Republican Party has now officially distanced itself from the 8 years of the Bush administration.  I am optimistic that the Party will return to its conservative roots, now that the ball and chain of the prior POTUS has been shed.

I am not one to look at one’s racial make up. But, being our government and news agencies are constantly sticking it in front of our eyes. I am glad to see Steele is a black AMERICAN !

I am not a person who has really thought much of Jesse Jackson. I do believe he is a self promoting individual for his own well being! But, this man has brought the black American out of the shadows of the other races in America. I love what he has done. I bow to this man for this feat he has accomplished. A tremendous feat by any one individual. But, unfortunately this man went too far and integrated his own family with some of the fortunes he has received per his climb for the black Americans! I salute you Jesse for doing what you did for America and for black America! Thank You !!

WE do see many more races integrated within the commercials on TV and television series and movies. This was not seen alot in the 1980′s or earlier.

So, I do think if the republican party can get more minorities involved in the party. That we will see that change, we need in America! Lets see what Steele can do. I do believe it was a GOD GIVE that the republican party lost the last election. Now, with the Lord’s help. The republicans can and will come back stronger than ever before.

IT seems that the blacks within the inner cities have lost any love or hope within the family. And it seems that neither political party has given any hope of solving this problem. America has a real chance today to solve the mis-fortunes of the no Daddy families. A black American as a president and now a black American as head of the republican party !

If and only if we can rid America of the Bill Clinton pointing fingers attitude; can we or will we bring America back as a nation of ONE !

Being my wife and I have three grandkids that are half black and white. I can say we love these boys with all our heart. And we have come to understand that color should not mean a thing in our American society. But, it does make alot of profit for people that push the color issue to the for-front. So many people today use the race card for their self sustaining drive they have within themselves to get ahead.

As I grew up in the 1950′s and 1960′s. I did not know predjudice ! My better friends were hispanic. I am just finding this out today. I saw them as kids such as I was. I did not see color at all. We ALL worked hard. I thought then as I do today. They were my sisters and brothers. They were welcomed into my house then as they are today.

But being that our government wants to know what nationality you are. People of all races now play the race card. Many hispanic kids I went to school with were so fun. Then I lost track of them after graduation. But now I am coming across some of them or their brothers and sisters. I am finding several of them have taken up employment with businesses like the migrant council. Back in our school days. We all spoke English. But we now see many of these individuals speaking Spanich every chance they get. And they also promote Mexican culture instead of the American culture they grew up in ! And I often wonder why. When their parents have worked their behinds off to get them to America and better themselves. And now they have taken these high paying jobs. That they want to revert back to what their parents were trying to get their kids away from.

I wish everyone felt the way I do. Remember, we may have different cultures and environments that we grew up in. But per the Heavenly Father. We have ALL the SAME blood !

I love this town of Sunnyside because I love the minorities. Why? Because they are better than I am !

What, now we go and find our own “magic Negro”?

This is a very, very sad day for America. The election of Steele proves that the Republican party will not go in the direction they need to for the sake of our country. They can expect to be in the minority for quite some time to come.

Are you a true conservative or just a kool aid drinker? If you are a true conservative then you would listen to what this other true conservative has to say about him.

Steve Deace is so right about him.

He’s a RINO. On that we can be clear. This proves that the Republican Party’s move to the Left might be a permanent legacy of the Bush years.

      GregJ,

You have a valid point. If Obama were not the President, would the Republicans have Steele for RNC Chair? I don’t know. Steele was not my first choice for chair, but he is more desirable than the white guy he is replacing. The potential to make some lemonade is there.

I think some of the comments made by Steve Deace were blown out of proportion, he comes across to me as a Michael Savage wannabe when speaking of homosexuals. Just because Steele doesn’t support a Federal Anti-Gay Marriage Amendment, that does not make him in favor of gay marriage. This issue rightfully should be up to the states to decide. (Given that every time voters have a chance to affirm traditional marriage on a state ballot, they do, I don’t see this as being a threat.)

I am not comfortable with Steele’s positions supporting affirmative action, or his opinion that he is pro-life, but does not believe Roe v. Wade should be overturned. We still have work to do, to get true conservatives elected. Dumping Duncan is a baby step in that direction. That is why I am optimistic that Steele will help move the pendulum back to the right. Even if the pendulum is only moved slightly to the right, that is better than the leftward direction it has been going in recent years. We will know in time if he will help the conservative cause, let him have his chance, then judge him on his record. In the meantime, keep supporting people you know to be true conservatives, because a new chair will be elected or appointed at some point in the future. If we don’t, then the Party’s move to the left may indeed become permanent.

I wonder what the cure is for all of this political mess is? As I see it. It is the two party system. There are people who vote year after year for a yellow dog if that dog is in their party. People do not use the brains their good Lord gave them. The person who said he is just another negro ! That must have been a stimulating second of time for a person to come up with a shallow observation! I doubt if there is a person that is not of mixed race. Obama says he is black. Being black is the dominant color over white. He is black. But, Obama is sharp enough to know that if he used his black heritage; that he could carry 90+ % of the black votes. If he had said he was white. Many of the whites would have seen right thru it.

Why is it that God did not make all of humanity color blind?? That is simple. He wanted us to learm by our mistakes. I feel very sorry for predjudice people ! These people not only do not understand different races. But, they do not understand themselves!

The number one step that the republican party must take is to bring this party back together as one. I personally think that we need three parties that are strong. We take the conservative demo’s and republicans and make a party. We take the moderate republicans and moderate demo’s as one. Then we take the liberal republicans as one. The liberal democrats we ship to Iran whereas they would feel at home. They in turn can hate America as the Iranians do. It is a perfect fit.

Now if you really look at the true picture of humanity. You will see that all humans have a moderate, conservative and liberal side to them. Why do we as humans tend to hide behind a political party?? In all actuality, it makes absolutely no sense whatsoever! Humans seem to grasp for identity with these political parties. When actually, these parties take away one true identity. We as humans should be individualist and vote for the person on the ticket. Not the party. Because actually Steele won’t make any difference at all. We already have our minds made up. And the Banks and money men of the Unites States control the republican and democrat party anyway.
