Welcome Back, Corey!

As a news junkie, I subscribe to two newspapers.  One is the Daily Sun News of Sunnyside.  I enjoy the local coverage it provides to our small town.  In addition, opinion pieces provide entertainment as well.

Last fall, during the election cycle, Corey Russell wrote some glowing things about Barack Obama, now PresBO.  While I disagreed with virtually everything he said, it was refreshing to hear a different perspective from my own.

In recent weeks I have been wondering if his editor put a muzzle on him.  He has done columns about TV shows he watched, music groups he would like to see in concert, and anecdotal stories about his children.  Snooze.

Now, in a roaring fashion, Corey is back, and just as wrong on issues as ever!  He bashes those who attended Tea Parties in his latest column, and extols the virtues of our Teleprompter-dependent President.  He is not bothered by PresBO bowing before foreign leaders.  He thinks PresBO is doing a great job.

I wonder if Corey Russell thinks that having government run on a bottomless pit of income taxes and Federal Reserve Notes is good policy.  Apparently so.  While I couldn’t disagree more, I am glad the muzzle (whether self-imposed of placed by others) has come off.
