Yakima County Republicans Endorse David Taylor For 15th District Representative

David Taylor, State Representative, 15th District

The Yakima County Republican Central Committee endorsed David Taylor of Moxee for the Washington 15th Legislative District Representative position tonight at its meeting of Precinct Committee Officers.

Mr. Taylor said one purpose in speaking tonight was to remind everyone that the state representative seat is on the ballot for election this year.  He was appointed by the county commissioners of the four counties in the district earlier this year.  This is the first time he will be on the ballot.

Representative Taylor mentioned that there are only 61 days until the primary election.  Although three candidates will appear on the ballot, one Democrat challenger, John Gotts, has already seen the writing on the wall and withdrawn from the contest.  Gotts informed the media he was calling it quits after the allotted time for a candidate to officially withdraw, therefore his name will still be on the ballot.

Mr. Taylor said he has amassed about $8,000 so far, which puts him slightly ahead of his fund-raising goal this far into the campaign.  According to Mr. Taylor, his other Democrat challenger, Donicio Marichalar of Grandview, has not filed any information with the Public Disclosure Commission of Washington in regards to his campaign funds.  Taylor said this information was due about a week ago.

Mr. Taylor will be holding a town hall meeting in Sunnyside at 7 PM, Thursday, June 25, 2009 at Banner Bank.  The meeting is to allow him to hear from citizens about issues in the district.  Last year, 15th District Senator Jim Honeyford, was able to get three bills passed after hearing input from the citizens about what is important to them.

Representative Taylor said it is also important for him to hear what is on the minds of people in the community so he can work to address those issues in Olympia.  The town hall meeting is open to the public, and all are invited to attend.

I’m not sure what this article means about “Gotts seeing the writing on the wall.” $8,000 is a joke as far as money raised so if that’s the reason this article thinks I stopped any campaign that’s pretty funny stuff and perhaps the writer would have done better actually talking to me.

I’m heading to Palo Alto, California to pursue the success of Byjobi.com, which was one of the few invited to LaunchSiliconValley.org (30 of 400 companies around the world who applied actually made it). We found backers in the way of investors, advisers and management.

In the middle of such a recession when NOBODY seems to be getting funding this endorsement meant a lot and I simply could not pass on the opportunity.

So the question is: Where does this newspaper get their information or is this more of a gossip rag that states opinions rather than finding out the facts…

If anyone wanted to beat Taylor, and according to this article eight thousand dollars is the mark to beat, then I’d say the bar is so low someone could walk over it.

I wish Taylor the best. At least he has a gossip columnist willing to write stories for him.

    (-8 off to California…

    • Thank you for your comment Mr. Gotts.
You talk about Mr. Taylor’s campaign being a joke, but called off your own campaign after only two weeks. Mr. Taylor is working hard for the citizens of the 15th district and you are leaving the state. These are the facts, no matter how you may want to spin it. I wish you the best of luck pursuing your business opportunity in California.

    Read what I said Jason,

I said the idea that I called off my campaign because I saw the writing on the wall from the pittance raised by an appointment is absurd at best.

The fact is that I like Taylor and with me out of the race I fully support his run. Frankly I think the Democrats have no chance of taking any seat in any up-coming election. IMO they are totally disorganized and their Chair in over in Bingen is a part of the group suing and keeping jobs out of the area.

I will say again that I fully support Taylor and know that he will now crush his Democratic opponent. The “writing on the wall” comment was all I was addressing.

    Cheers

    • Mr. Gotts,
Thank you for your open and honest feedback. I agree that David Taylor’s campaign will benefit from your absence in the race.

Again, I wish you the best of luck in pursuing your business opportunity, and I mean that sincerely.

John Gotts stole the source code and the idea behind the company he states he started. Shame on him. Liar!

What goes around comes around, big fella. You can’t hide from the truth online.

The people of Washington are fortunate to have gotten rid of that dishonest schmoe. There should be parties in the streets to say farewell to that sack of stank water.

We will continue to pursue both civil and criminal action against John Gotts personally and against “his” new company.

    • Those are some serious charges you are making. If your charges have validity, the courtroom may be the best place to air your complaints.

Thanks for reading and commenting on the blog.

We are maintaining a weblog to document the legal action against John Gotts mentioned by Guisieppe above, and to post information we find about him through further investigation. http://johngottssucks.wordpress.com

Based on evidence consisting of pages of supporting documents, emails, transcripts, and witness statements there is much validity to the charges.

We will be posting the information we receive regarding this case. You and your readers are free to make comments.

Thanks for the advice and info.

That maybe. But, it doesn’t beat the idot Marichalar, with his extreme dishonest, selfish, abusive, liar’s lazy selfish background and history.
