The Sunnyside City Council can call off the Kamikaze mission to take out city employees. All that is needed is for them to be willing to hear all of the evidence, so that smart decisions can be made regarding personnel.
If the standards of behavior being questioned in regards to Pam Sandifer and Terri Rhode are applied to all City employees, how many would we have left working at City Hall?
The Sandifer/Rhode situation would not have come to this point, were it not for the City’s negligence in handling the hostile work investigations to this point. The Mayor can rectify this situation by calling for a Special Meeting Executive Session to hear what the investigators have to say.
As mentioned in a previous post, five City employees asked the mayor to see the investigation through to the end back in July of this year, in a letter:

In addition, all it would take is for three Council Members to call for a Special Meeting, in order for one to take place. Either the Mayor by himself, or three Council Members can make this happen.

Contact your representatives and let them know you want them to hear what the investigators have to say before employees are disciplined or terminated.

I’ve read the blogs you have posted about the troubles in Sunnyside. I feel as if you’ve taken things out of context and bent them to your own personal agenda. It seems as if you are no better then the people you are accusing of bulling. There are far more important things going on in the world and by printing these blogs, it shows just how small minded and vendictive your opinion really is. It’s things like this that can cause hatred and strife for the community. Is that what you’re looking for? Think about what your doing and become a real reoporter.
Thanks for the comment KW. My agenda is to save the city from costly litigation that is sure to follow if all the evidence is not heard. How is that small minded?
A more reasonable approach is for the City Council to manage this situation to avoid legal pitfalls.
Kw small minded is to do as the Daily Sun has done and ignore this. Lets just let Bridges finish his investigation and trust him (yeah right) The actions of these people must be questioned. If Sunnyside is going to get better corruption can’t be tolerated. Talk about a good ol boy proposal. Thank you Jason for creating a forum where the truth is actually called for.
Deborah Estrada is the root of all evil at City Hall. She feels threatened by all other city hall employees and has done her best to make life hell for all that work there. Look at the evidence that Jason has provided, it’s all there. Unfortunately there are some things I cannot discuss on an open forum because they may be included in a civil suit against the City of Sunnyside in the near future. If Jim Bridges wants to “play City Manager”, maybe he should grow a pair and fire Deborah. But, he is scared of her because what she has done to all the previous City Managers. Too bad Jamie didn’t get enough money from the City of Sunnyside so her and her boyfriend could quit the City.
Just one question ~ what is Deborah Estrada and Jim Bridges afraid of by letting the two independant investigators’ reports be heard? The citizens of Sunnyside paid for that report so why not let it be heard? The report from the insurance company should also be heard. If there is nothing negative, let it out. Stop the back-door politics and stop the secrets!
I hope that this is resolved very soon because I can read the animosity and hatred in these responses.it’s a shame that others feel like they have to belittle and say hateful things toward each other. I wonder how one woman can hold so much power that you feel she can manipulate the system. If the City didn’t have gounds to put these two women of Admin. leave pending termination, then why are they? I don’t think I will continue on commenting because I can see that the hatred overrides the truth. Good luck to ALL of you. May God Bless your Christmas and bring Peace to your Hatred…………….
Perhaps I’m wrong, but I thought only one investigator was independent.

Neither investigator was in-house. One was picked by the city’s insurance company, the other by the city’s attorney firm. In the past the city had a full time city attorney, but he quit in protest over problems he had with questionable ethics at city hall.
